Selecting the right tool and knurl(s)

The DIN 82 standard specifies the different kinds of knurling patterns that can be machined on components. Using the cut knurling system the RGV and RKV type patterns can not be made.

Patterns are dependant on the selection of type of tool and knurl.

K10 - For Sraight and Helix

RBR 30	RAA	RBL 30	RAA
Right hand tool with		Left hand tool with
AA knurl	BR30 knurl	AA knurl	BL30 knurl

K11 - For Diamond and Cross

RGE 30	RGE 45	RGE 60
Left or Right hand tool with
AA+AA	BL15 + BR15	BL30 + BR30
